The Redtail Story: 27 Years In The Making.
John Bell made his first paddle in 1971 at the age of seventeen, and for thirty two years he has continued his paddle making career, never ceasing to improve the quality of his paddles. In 1991 he decided to launch a new company.
A majestic Redtail swept past John, and his wife Leslie, as they were discussing the idea of a company name. John instantly decided this hawk offered great representation for the new company, and thus the Redtail Paddle Company name was conceived.
John approached renowned Port Hope artist John Doherty to design a new logo for the new company.
The following year, with a spectacular logo and a new vision, the Redtail Paddle Company was registered.
The Redtail Paddle Company’s mission is to produce a superior 100% handcrafted paddle of high quality and workmanship which is affordably priced and designed for many years of recreational enjoyment.
These paddles are the MSR-Beav model, with a resin tip.
